At DLC Automotive Solutions, cars aren’t just our job, they’ve been our passion for life.
Our founder, Carl Croome started working on cars at just 17 years old, repairing and modifying vehicles for family and friends long before entering the motor trade professionally. What began with wheels and suspension upgrades quickly grew into engine swaps, conversions, electrical installs, and full builds.
That early hands-on experience built the foundations of the knowledge and passion we possess today.

After starting an adult apprenticeship at 25, Carl’s journey moved quickly through some of the most respected workshops in the UK automotive industry:
Independent garage – servicing & MOT repairs on all makes and models
Vauxhall main dealership – completed apprenticeship & SVQ Level 3
Performance-based award winner across the entire dealer group (including an international recognition trip)
Škoda dealership – progressed to Diagnostic Technician, Workshop Foreman & Mentor
VW Audi Group (VAG) / IMI Diagnostic Technician qualifications
